Global Problem-Based Learning (GPBL) in Tokyo: The Reality of Urban Greening
Hosted by Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in collaboration with Kasetsart University, Chiangmai University, and Maejo University.

We are pleased to invite applications for the 2025 Global Problem-Based Learning program in Tokyo under the theme “The Reality of Urban Greening.” This 10-day international workshop, hosted by Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), provides students with direct exposure to real-world urban environmental challenges through field visits, collaborative design tasks, and cultural exchange.

Application Deadline: June 3, 2025
Program Dates: July 25 – August 8, 2025 (10 days)
Location: Tokyo and surrounding areas, Japan
Eligibility: Open to students from all departments and all programs at Kasetsart University
Number of Participants: 5–8
Scholarship Support: 50,000–80,000 yen (based on GPA and English score) and accommodation support (up to 9,000 THB) will be provided by Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University

Selection Criteria:
Applicants with strong academic performance (GPA) and English proficiency will be prioritized. Preference may also be given to students who have not previously joined international programs to expand participation opportunities.

Day 1 (July 25): Travel and arrival in Tokyo
Day 2 (July 26): Orientation and lectures at SIT Toyosu Campus
Day 3 (July 27): Field visit to Kawasaki Nihon Minka-en
